The Importance of Dog/Human Relationships

MountainHaus Kennels was founded by proprietor Joseph and Dawn Buttito. A long time breeder & trainer of champion German Shepherds, Joe and his dogs have earned many awards in various competitive fields. Joe is also an experienced instructor who emphasizes fun, human training and the importance of the dog/human relationship.

Joe is the founder of the Endless Mountains Dog Obedience Club in Northeast PA (www.EMDOC.org) and sits on various boards protecting animal rights. He dedicates many hours weekly in the pursuit of the humane treatment of animals. He works closely with many local agencies. Both he and the Endless Mountains Dog Obedience club volunteer countless hours to train and re-train dogs from or local humane society (http://www.petfinder.org/shelters/bradfordchs.html) .

At every level of training, Joe emphasizes humane training that is enjoyable and successful at both ends of the leash. His goal is helping every student achieve a trusting, loving relationship with their dog.

Joe was coordinator of Bradford Co. Animal Response Team and has more recently served the animals and humans in New Orleans due to flooding during huricane Katrina.
